@aaru_dir Ace is a masterclass in ensemble writing, visual storytelling, and the quiet art of making every single soul on screen matter. I must say, this film is absolutely worth watching, and a testament to that is the fact that I watched it twice β once in the original version and then again in Hindi. And both times, it was a thoroughly beautiful and wonderful experience.
The most powerful and positive aspect of the film is undoubtedly its characterization. Each and every character β whether it is Boltkanan, Ruku , Dharma, Araveeru the character played by the talented Yogi Babu β every single one of them has been written with great care, thought, and intention. Not a single character feels wasted or out of place. Each one has a well-crafted introduction that gives them a distinct identity and adds a strong commercial appeal to the film.
This kind of careful, character-driven writing is what elevates the film and makes it stand apart.
And finally, I must acknowledge that this film is an excellent tribute and a heartfelt homage to one of the greatest filmmakers the world has ever known β the legendary Alfred Hitchcock β and his timeless classic, To Catch a Thief.
A brilliant cinematic offering from start to finish.
Nowadays in most commercial films, we generally see that only the hero and the villain receive significant screen time and character development. The rest of the cast is often sidelined or underwritten.
But this film breaks that convention beautifully. Here, each and every character β big or small β has been introduced in a proper, thoughtful, and memorable manner. Whether it is Bolkanan, Adhu, Dharma, Araveeru, or the character played by Yogi Babu β every single one of them gets their moment to shine.
This, according to me, is the single most powerful and positive aspect of the film. It is what gives the film a sense of richness, depth, and completeness. Combined with the outstanding background music and the stunning overall visual presentation, the film stands as a truly rich and rewarding cinematic experience.
This level of care in writing and presenting every character is rare in commercial cinema, and it deserves the highest appreciation.
