@challenge2change4life@tgip25@awaken_community@benedettomen@aaronmaybin A strong mindset does not stop because of roadblocks, challenges, or difficulties. Keep “GOING” and push forward. Every obstacle is an opportunity to grow stronger.Pressure can do one of two things, it can make you break, or it can make you into a diamond. Choose to let the pressure refine you, not destroy you. Keep going. Unde T🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
Baltimore has always produced leaders. The question is whether we are creating space for the next generation to step into that responsibility with clarity and confidence, and to understand that leadership is not about being seen or holding a title, but about doing the work and moving with intention.
Through the Walter P. Carter Institute and the Community Leadership & Empowerment Program, we are creating space for people to understand the systems that shape their lives, engage their communities with intention, and take responsibility for what comes next. This work is rooted in awareness, action, and accountability.
The future of Baltimore will be shaped by those willing to step forward and lead with clarity. CLEP is where that begins.
This is what excellence looks like! Our young people deserve to feel worthy of respect and reverence no matter what they wear. But you’d be lying if you didn’t admit how beautiful it is to see them dressed to impress. Salute to @1uncle_t for his vision. SUPPORT HIS WORK!!! It takes a village of all of us working together to create real change!
It was an honor to serve as the MC for @1uncle_t and his 10 year anniversary fundraiser for @challenge2change4life People like uncle T are a big part of the reason that Baltimore is changing. When people tell stories about Baltimore’s historic reduction in violent crime, they talk about our mayor, they talk about our governor, they talk about our states attorney. But they should be talking about people like Uncle T and organizations like Challenge to Change. You can’t simply legislate your way to safer streets. You don’t arrest your way towards tackling the systemic nature of violent crime either. You have to meet those who are struggling with opportunity and compassion. Not carceral punishment. You have to help shooters grow into citizens that we can depend on in the community. We need to redirect the energy of our young men before the influences of the streets pull them in. That’s the work that Uncle T and his family do every single day in this city. It’s an honor to call him a brother, a friend, and a comrade.
A family Man, a man of faith that preaches through his action and his example rather than empty words. A man that shows strength through his vulnerability. A man that treats his wife like a queen and cares deeply about his community. He’s turned his pain into purpose, his struggles into testimony, And every single day he manifests change through his faith and his passion. Now more than ever we need to be digging deep and supporting our grass roots institutions that create the societal safety net that we all depend on. Like our brother Elijah often says, our hood is our Responsibility. And if you’re not doing this important work yourself, you should be supporting the ones that are. Everyone in this city knows the individuals and organizations that we call on whenever things are on fire. Those need to be the ones that we support the most. Those are the ones that should never have to beg for funding and support to keep the lights on and the tank full. If you have the means, I employ you to financially support him and his amazing wife on their journey to raising 50,000$ for their important work.
