We’re thrilled to feature Grammy Award winning baritone saxophonist and composer Aaron Joseph Lington (@aaronlington ) as part of our June 5 Mercury Soul event at Saint Joseph’s Arts Society.
A force in the jazz world, Lington has collaborated with artists and ensembles ranging from the San Francisco Symphony and Count Basie Orchestra to Joe Lovano and Randy Brecker. His playing has been praised as “revelatory” by the San José Mercury News, with a sound that is both powerful and deeply expressive.
In addition to an international performing career, he is a dedicated educator and currently serves as Professor and Coordinator of Jazz Studies at San José State University. His work as a composer and performer brings a rich, improvisatory voice that adds a new dimension to the Mercury Soul experience.
Join us Friday, June 5 at 8pm at Saint Joseph’s Arts Society, 1401 Howard Street in San Francisco, as jazz, classical, and electronic worlds come together for one immersive night.
Tickets will sell out, reserve early.

Really a pretty nice view from where I am performing tonight in the Presidio in San Francisco. You can clearly see downtown San Francisco, a bit of Alcatraz Island, and Mt. Diablo off in the distance. Really is a beautiful city.
