She was found on the street abused and forgotten. With hip issues, arthritis, and plenty of anxiety, her name was Dopey…
Jessa rescued her at the age of four, or so they thought, after nearly a year at the shelter. She would later go by much more appropriate names—Boogie, Bubba, and of course the fanciest of all, Margeaux.
When I first met her I wasn’t so sure about this anxious dog but it was clear she meant the world to Jessa who went to great lengths making sure she was always comfortable, happy, and never forgotten.
Over the years her quirks became her charm and I consider myself so lucky to have known and loved her. Last week we lost M, at 12-ish, unexpectedly to cancer.
We were always so focused on caring for her, making sure her pain was managed and giving her the best life we could. Now with her gone and the house quiet it’s so clear the beautiful life she gave us in return. 💔
She’ll forever be a part of our little family.
I proposed to my best friend and love of my life! 🥹 The last couple weeks we’ve been cruising around and camping in Norway’s beautiful off season staying mostly dry 😇 The van we rented felt way too big for the small winding roads, but far too small to avoid consistent head bonking. 10/10 best trip of our lives.
