1. For My Bestie (prod. Aaron Banks)
Welcome to my first mixtape! Last year I took a Leave of Absence from work to get URH off the ground as well as record my first project.
Iāve been producing 1 beat a day for about 3.5 years now and have been taking singing lessons for 2 years with @songgirlstudio (never sang before this).
At the time of this recording, I was about 1 year into singing lessons and 2.5 years into my 1 beat a day routine. This project is a compilation of the songs I made during my 3-month leave, hence the mixtape name āLeave of Absenceā.
Everything that you hear was produced, written, and performed by me.
My music collaborator is @seanh708 (my engineer).
Every aspect of the creation of this project has a story attached to it.. everything just aligned at the right time, which has been so crazy. Iāll share more details as the rollout continues.
For the videos, @djata_irl and I have been doing it ourselves (mainly him because heās done all the editing lol). I feel so thankful to have great friends in my life whoāve helped me finally get the point where Iām releasing music. Music and URH are the first things Iāve done that really feel aligned with who I am and what I want to do.
I hope you enjoy the music half as much as I enjoy making it! Always more to come. I plan on making music forever lol. š #urhuman
I also wanted to share this! Crazy comparison.
The first clip is from my first week of meeting my singing teacher, Sharon. She encouraged me to sing Proud of Your Boy by myself in front of a crowd.
The second clip is from my concert this past weekend! Proud of Your Boy was added to the set list about a week before the concert, so this is a pretty raw representation of how my technique has grown since I first performed it!
1.5 years of lessons have flown by so I havenāt really reflected on the growth until now! Hereās your sign to get started on the things your passionate about š #urhuman
Stepping into this new year feeling the most blessed Iāve been in my life!! šš¾
Started this year experiencing a new culture! Something I want to make a habit of for my birthdays. Had so many moments that left me feeling more in tune to the beauty of humanity.
My biggest goal for this year is to start doing @urhuman full time. I feel itās my calling and this year Iām determined to fully embrace it.
The biggest thing you could do for my birthday this year is donate to that cause @urhuman_us on Venmo š (link in bio) thanks for all the birthday wishes in advance!! ā¤ļø
Freeform transformation video!!
Iāve had Freeforms for 4 years now and recently they got to the point where I couldnāt get through doors and was knocking stuff over every time I turned my head so I decided to do my first major change lol
I absolutely love this journey and have loved my locs every step of the way ā¤ļø

I think I'm more ways to show love than just Christmas gifts or even New Year's gifts. that said I feel like the sentiment behind the New Year's gift would hit even harder! #newyears #christmas
The influence corporate culture has had on American culture more generally is crazy. I think it's important to interrogate where some of our habits and practices come from
