We are proud to announce that Robert Kuo @robertkuoltd will receive the inaugural Lifetime Achievement Award at the @aapi_designalliance  Awards Gala on May 6. Renowned as a modern master of cloisonné and repoussé, the Los Angeles–based artist and designer has been a singular force in the international design world for more than five decades. His work is collected by institutions including the Smithsonian, and his LA showroom remains a destination for leading interior designers and collectors worldwide. Born in Beijing and raised in Taiwan, Kuo apprenticed in his family’s cloisonné atelier before bringing the tradition to California in 1973. Inspired by ancient Chinese motifs and organic forms, he reinterprets time-honored techniques through a refined contemporary lens, demonstrating the global relevance of AAPI artistic traditions to 21st century design.  We are honored to celebrate his extraordinary legacy and lasting impact on the global design community.
