feels a little surreal to say this but… I made my New York gallery debut 🗽✨
I’m part of a 4-person exhibition at Flow Space Gallery in Chelsea—right in the middle of the gallery district, steps from the High Line and surrounded by some of the biggest galleries in the world. truly a pinch-me moment.
I’m showing two of my largest paintings to date, and getting to see them live in that context has meant everything.
plot twist: I actually couldn’t make the opening because of train cancellations + snow 🙃 (devastated tears were shed because of NJTransit!)
but honestly, the experience ended up reminding me how much this work is bigger than one night—and how grateful I am for the people who show up for me (especially @_klawler 💛)
Despite the snow, the opening was packed (!!), people connected with the work, and I’m just… really, really thankful. this feels like the beginning of something.
if you’re new here—hi, I’m Meg. I’m a painter working in still life, memory, and queer histories 🌸
the show is up through April 2

See “Between the Lines” this weekend in NYC.
Poets + artists in conversation.
Words becoming images. Images speaking back.
My piece “Throwing the Brick” sits alongside @tscomrade ’s work featuring bricks from Stonewall—holding history, resistance, and the weight of what’s been carried (and thrown).
📍 Flow Space Gallery, Chelsea
🗓 Through April 30
More from opening night + install 🧱

Inspired by @tscomrade ’s writing, I kept returning to the line:
“here we throw the brick
because we can
because we want to
because we must.”
This is a portrait of the brick—but also the refusal.
A meditation on the systems that attempt to contain queer and trans life, and the inevitability of breaking through.
Like weeds pushing through pavement.
Spirit unkillable.
Created for “Between the Lines” at @flowspacegallery
Opening April 9, 6–8pm
📍Flow Space Gallery, 526 W 26th St, Chelsea, NY
If it’s been on your list… this is your sign 👀

Busy life → looser studio.
Lately I’ve been turning to collage as a space for quick, intuitive making—focusing on composition, color, and rhythm using whatever’s within reach.
A study for what’s next.
