First day at Manchester City Council 💚
Monday was my first day in the council chamber alongside fellow Green councillors from across Manchester. A very surreal moment after weeks of campaigning across Rusholme.
I’m incredibly grateful to God for giving me the opportunity to serve our community. At the same time, I’m fully aware of the responsibility that comes with this role and I do not take it lightly. So many people are depending on us to improve their lives, stand up for residents, and make real change happen.
I pray that God gives me the strength, wisdom, and sincerity to do this work properly and to serve Rusholme to the best of my ability.
The work starts now 🌿

Weeks of reporting. Severely delayed action.
This pile of dumped rubbish sat here in Rusholme for weeks before finally being cleared last week. It was repeatedly flagged, still nothing happened.
This isn’t a one-off. From backstreets to parks, littering and slow clean-ups are becoming the norm especially around the Curry Mile. Our community deserves better than being ignored.
And let’s be clear: blaming residents and visitors with insensitive punny slogans like “Curry your rubbish home” isn’t a solution. It’s disrespectful and it misses the real issue: lack of proper response and accountability.
I’m standing to push for a change on that; with faster action, cleaner streets, and real respect for our community.
