🌿Day 2: GB Spring Clean in Caldmore!🌿 Another fantastic morning with our Aaina ESOL ladies taking part in the GB Spring Clean. Thank you to Kyle and Charlotte from the @caldmoregarden for joining us today and a huge thank you again to Shokt Fazal for supporting and helping organise the litter picks 💚 With Eid and Easter approaching, the weather picking up, and more children and residents spending time outdoors, we want everyone to enjoy clean, safe and welcoming streets across Walsall 🌷 We continue to urge local residents, businesses and places of worship to keep surrounding areas tidy. Small efforts from all of us help keep Walsall cleaner, brighter and more enjoyable for everyone 😊 #AainaHub #Walsall #Caldmore #Litterpick #GBSpringClean #Community

On Tuesday 20th January, Yam From Here's second workshop with @hofmanica took place at @aainacommunityhub in Walsall. Like workshop number one, this workshop involved participatory performance and games to engage local residents. The workshop concluded with a focus on making decorative tiles, which the participants have loaned for a future exhibition. We extend our thanks to all participants, Tina Hofman and to Aaina Hub for hosting us! Photos: @marcin_sz_photographer #heritage #yamfromhere #heritagefunduk #blackcountry #walsall

This Monday and Tuesday (19th and 20th January), the @yamfromhere team will be at @aainacommunityhub in Walsall, assisting artist Tina Hofman (@hofmanica ) in a short series of art and theatre workshops. These workshops will explore Yam From Here's titular themes of Home, Journeys and Communities, through sharing stories, playing multilingual games and making decorative tiles for an upcoming exhibition in Walsall. We're looking forward to taking part in the lively social calendar of @aainacommunityhub and seeing the artistic outcome of the workshops! Yam From Here is a two-year project funded by the @heritagefunduk and delivered by the @ewa.cic . #Heritage #YamFromHere #heritagefunduk #music #blackcountry #blackcountryart #blackcountryartist
