FRONT COVER
@aah_mag
Couple of hidden nuggets or gems (whichever you find more valuable)
The posters on the wall are John Walsh’s 808state album covers as The REAL issue is dedicated to him, we wanted to have a little bit of him on the cover.
The cover idea was from the hidden homelessness piece within the issue where writer Tilly Snaith explores the idea of sofa surfing being a form of homelessness. I like the idea of giving the ‘character’ a resolution, where she finally got her home. And there’s nothing more real than your first meal in your new house after the stress of moving. Home is where we feel safest. It’s where our personality shines. It’s where we can speak freely. It’s where we have the most choice.
Keeping with the positivity lense that aAh! Mag pushes, it felt right to push for a bright version of someone’s future.

“There’s something about John Walsh" for @aah_mag latest print release, ‘The REAL Issue’
@adomas_works _ and I had the honour of covering a sentimental piece celebrating the life and achievements of our late graphics tutor, John Walsh aka @graphicological who sadly passed away last year.

Lights Up premiere last night and I feel so inspired at what an incredible cycling community we have! Just under 100 people came together to watch Lights Up and Breakaway Femmes, a powerful celebration of women on bikes, pushing boundaries, and cycling for change.
Lights Up was beautifully captured & filmed by the incredible Luke Shepherd.
From the pioneers who lined up for that one- off women's Tour de France in 1955 and the Women's Tour-style races of the 1980s, riding the same cobbles and mountains while facing discrimination and inequality, to the riders lighting up Greater Manchester's streets today, the story is the same, we keep pedalling forward.
