She was also named Teacher of the Year at Champion Theme Middle School for the 2025–2026 school year, recognizing her excellence in the classroom and dedication to student success.
Through her leadership, innovation, and commitment to service, Soror Porter continues to inspire the next generation while representing Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. with distinction.
Congratulations Soror Porter on your two honors!
Congratulations to Dr. Monica S. Branch on a remarkable national achievement! Dr. Branch recently co-authored the Traumatic Brain Injury chapter in the 5th Edition of Essentials of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation, one of the leading textbooks guiding rehabilitation physicians across the country.
As a Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation Physician at Grady Memorial Hospital, a Level 1 trauma center, serving Atlanta’s most vulnerable populations. Dr. Branch specializes in caring for patients with function-limiting illnesses, including traumatic brain injuries (TBI), with a particular focus on fall-related brain injuries in older adults. Falls are now the leading cause of traumatic brain injury in the elderly and disproportionately affect underserved communities with limited access to preventive resources, home safety modifications, and post-hospital rehabilitation services.
Soror Branch’s dedication reflects Delta’s enduring commitment to public service, health advocacy, and uplifting underserved populations. We celebrate her excellence and her continued work to advance health equity in our communities.
We are asking our community to come together and support one of our own.
A valued member of our community is searching for her 16-year-old son, Benjamin Brathwaite, who is currently missing. We are sharing this to help bring awareness and extend our reach in hopes of helping the Atlanta Police Department locate him safely.

As we know, voting is the bedrock of our communities. It shapes our daily lives and determines our future. When you share your WHY, you remind others just how personal, yet how powerful, this right to vote is.
Starting today through the end of the month, we ask that you share, post, and comment your reason behind voting. This election cycle calls for us to use our voices to speak to the power of the ballot.
🔺We invite all members to join us TOMORROW - April 14, 2026, at 9:00PM ET for The National Social Action Commission’s webinar with the Legal Defense Fund (LDF) for a discussion on how we can protect our democracy and the importance of voting. Check your Delta Digest from April 11th for the registration information! 🔺
As we work to Get Out The Vote, let’s honor the legacy of our 22 Founders who marched in 1913 so that we can have the right to vote in 2026!
