The Spotlight Block brings together three emerging filmmakers whose voices could not be more distinct, yet each offers a sharp, personal lens on the world. From grounded realism to absurdist mythology, these films reflect the range of storytelling shaping India’s new indie wave.
Curated for the Underground Festival, this block highlights directors who are building their craft outside the mainstream, experimenting boldly with form, emotion, and narrative. Each film stands on its own, but together they form a snapshot of the creative ambition that drives the underground.
