This was SWOP Festival in Roskilde organised by Aabendans! Such an inspiring environment created with such generosity, diversity and hospitality not only for the audiences but for all the artists and participants. I still carry so much sparkling thoughts and questions from the seminar day and all the shows that we had the chance to see. …and yes; some tears! We also had the chance to encounter very different age groups as audience members, which is always a rewarding experience for Schön Anders team! I will not forget that one boy opening his mouth more and more with fascination as i prolonged my hair up & up & up… 🥹 We cannot be thankful enough to @pernilletaasinge , @thomaseisenhardt , @lisbethklix & the whole @aabendans team for the invitation and making us part of this magical event. We feel proud to perform among so many wonderful artists! A big smile will linger for a while on our face thinking about this past week! Now Schön Anders dreamteam will take a break! Together with @micaelakuhnj , we have been invited to co-curate the seminar day at Swop Festival 2026 with @aabendans A festival of dance for young audiences that reminded me of the endless shapes, languages, and possibilities that dance can embody. Today was the final day of SWOP festival 2026, with two fantastic performances - Ugo Dehaes / Kwaadbloed's homegrown robots in Simple Machines at the library, full of curious and attentive kids, and Schön Anders by Ceren Oran and Moving Borders at Aaben Dans, which had kids cheering and dancing along in their seats. All performances sold out.. we couldn't have asked for a better end to the festival 🫶 Our heads are spinning after 5 amazing days and 45 incredible performances, not to mention all the fun and exciting activities like workshops, seminar, concerts and much more. How many ways can we say 'thank you for another amazing SWOP day'? 🫶 We don't know, but it really has been an amazing Saturday at both Musicon and the library. The Swings were swinging under a bright sun, HIT OUT mesmerized the audience with their skipping ropes and the Nudibranchs snailed their way around Musicon and into people's hearts. 'What is what?' and 'Im Flatterland' had kids both curious and attentive and 'The Fabulous Story of BasarKus' played their last SWOP performance. The last show of the night, 'REPEATCLUB', got a standing applaus and was clapped back in three times - we think it's safe to say that the audience loved both the performance and the lovely young people. See you for another SWOP day tomorrow! --- Hvor mange måder kan vi sige 'tak for endnu en fantastisk SWOP dag' på? 🫶 Vi ved det ikke, men det har virkelig været en fantastisk lørdag på både Musicon og biblioteket. Under en strålende sol svingede The Swings, sjippede HIT OUT og sneglede Nøgensneglene sig. Til 'Hvad er det?' og 'Im Flatterland' sad børn nysgerrige og opmærksomme og 'Den Fantastiske Historie om BasarKus' spillede deres sidste SWOP forestilling. Aftens sidste forestilling, 'REPEATCLUB', fik en stående applaus og blev klappet og hujet ind tre gange - vi kan vist godt sige, at publikum elskede den og de skønne, unge mennesker. Another amazing SWOP day is behind us. Thank you!! 🫶 There have been performances at both Aaben Dans, the library, a local school and Stændertorvet. After the seminar about Invitation and Hosting with keynote by Emma Holten, the mayor came and officially opened the festival before Rock Me Baby blew us away and afterwards kids and adults alike were invited onto the stage to play. Here are some of the highlights from today, we're already so excited for tomorrow and to see even more of you! -- Endnu en fantstisk SWOP dag er bag os. Tak!! 🫶 Der har været forestillinger både hos Aaben Dans, på biblioteket, lokal skole og Stændertorvet. Efter seminaret om Invitation og Værtskab med keynote af Emma Holten, kom Borgmesteren forbi og åbnede officielt festivalen, før Rock Me Baby blæste os bagover og bagefter fik børn som voksne lov til at lege med på scenen. Wow, what an amazing first SWOP day! 🤩 678 kids enjoyed the sold out performances and we can’t wait to welcome many more over the coming days. We also noticed an elephant that’s been wandering around - it got a little lost, but found a nice garden where it tried to make some friends. If you see it, do say hi! It’s very sweet and seems to just be looking for someone to be with 🐘 - Wow, hvilken fantastisk første SWOP dag! 🤩 678 børn kom til de udsolgte forestillinger og vi glæder os til at se mange flere i løbet af de kommende dage. Vi opdagede også en elefant der vandrede rundt - den for vist lidt vild, men så fandt den en dejlig have hvor den prøvede at få nogle venner. Hvis du ser den, så sig endelig hej! The last preparations are underway!! Seimi Nørregaard @seimikbh is working tirelessly on the Plastic Spirit, we've made it nice with SWOP banners on our building fences and around town, have hung mirrors in the trees and put fresh flowers in pots. Now all that's missing is YOU, when the first performances starts day after tomorrow! 🤩 -- Så er de sidste forberedelser i gang!!
