Today was the GOAT 🐐

What a week! Helped build a farm, hosted volunteers to help with the nature play space, met two pigeons. The farm will increase access to affordable, nutritious vegetables in an underserved area of the city by THOUSANDS of pounds! It will increase beauty and green space for our entire neighborhood with places to walk and gather. It will also attract native pollinators and urban wildlife.☀️🐦👩🏻‍🌾🌾🌳

My bro and his family went to Aruba for spring break, and my niece found a special rock and named him Jeremy. Though I wasn't expecting any souvenirs, I couldn't have dreamt of such a beautiful, creative, and thoughtful gift. At the end of the video, which is cut off because it was a tad too long, she asked me to be Jeremy’s care taker. Y’all. I teared up over a rock. He’s the best souvenir I’ve ever received. Don’t call him “it.” Only “him.” And yes, he has a tiny suitcase. And he will be joining me on all of my adventures 🪨

Last weekend, my pal and I hosted our very first ever handmade market. The rule was simple: if you’re coming, you have to bring things you made with your own two hands to share. I am a mother of young children in Gaza. We are living through harsh times unlike anything we have ever known. The winter here is bitterly cold, and the chill seeps into my children's bodies before it reaches our homes. I cannot afford to buy them warm winter clothes. I see them shivering from the cold, and all I can do is pray. I need just $500 to buy warm winter clothes for my children, to give them a little protection against this harsh winter. The situation in Gaza is extremely difficult; there are no sources of income, and everything has become unbearable.
