05312025: where do I even begin. Five years ago I was getting into kpop and I see this random song called Gods Menu, I said â oh bts âđ˝đ¤â lol . Felix caught my attention and I immediately knew that I would love them! All the comebacks and content brought me so much joy! Look at me , five years later IN A VIP SECTION AT SOFI đĽš. Who would have thought that the song playing right now on this very post, a song played since I was a kid would have such an impact on me. I grew up with cumbia in my family from my dad teaching me how to dance cumbia and to my tĂos and mom playing every cumbia on the radio, who would have thought that all these moments would get me here! I started dancing cumbia just for fun.
No heels.
No technique.
Just girlsâ nights, spinning around, and laughing when I messed up.
I didnât care how it looked. I just loved how it felt.
But everything changed when I took my first private lesson.
I realized I wasnât actually finishing my turns.
My arms were just⌠there.
My timing was âclose enough.â
And once I understood the technique?
My spins got sharper.
My balance got stronger.
My styling finally made sense.
It didnât take the fun away.
It made me feel confident. Feminine. In control.
