One thing we did on For Pablo was play to a click track. It felt decidedly unjazzy but it also kept the song tight.
There’s this one moment, captured here, right before the first drop where we all slow down like 10 bpm. It was completely unplanned but we all instinctively slowed down to catch the tension of the moment. The magic of that synergy is what makes this project so special to me. ❤️
