That my life never outruns its own truth.
May there always be marrow beneath the music.
And as rooms widen and lights grow warmer,
may my soul remain low enough to hear heaven whisper.
May I not wander from the soil that knows my name.
Nor grow weary in the becoming.
When labor calls,
may it meet me with my sleeves already rolled.
That my eyes stay awake to the quiet laws of fruitful things.
That no strange fire touch my oil.
Oh may darkness forever arrive too late.
And in the violent pruning that alignment sometimes requires, may I not recoil from the blade.
Teach these hands to build without trembling.
Teach this heart to rest without guilt.
And when my final curtain is drawn,
may I leave this earth like poured wine —
nothing withheld,
nothing stale in my hands,
nothing holy buried in fear.

You have come a long way by grace, by growth, by grit.
I am deeply grateful to God for every room, every lesson, every stumble that became wisdom, every voice strengthened through process, and every life this journey has allowed me to reach.
This new year, Father, use me thoroughly again.
In classrooms, on stages, through conversations, through poems, through service, through quiet obedience, through it all.
Till I am empty.
Till I finish the race.
Till I am DONE.

So, how did I know the exact hours?
Simple. I timed it.
Every time I start reading, I turn on my stopwatch. When I pause, it pauses. When I resume, it continues.
No guesswork. No self-deception.
By the end of the day, I see the truth, not what my mind thinks I did.
Because let’s be honest, your brain will tell you “I’ve tried today,” when in reality, you barely scratched 30 minutes.
And see, it’s easier to improve when you actually know the problem.
