hope y’all have been well in these trying times. my faith continues to get me through, but at times i feel powerless looking at the current state of the world. i wish i could snap my fingers and end the suffering i see on a daily basis; a seemingly futile thought.
however, i do believe that creating from love, with love can open the gates for healing on a global scale.
the seeds for this song were planted in 2021, and slowly but surely the divine unveiled the full picture to what’s manifested. this can be applied to everyone, but especially for my fellow creatives, don’t ever give up on the vision that’s in your head. God gave it to you for a reason. people who you have no connection to need the warmth only your light can provide.

this is my @nprmusic tiny desk submission. “What They Say” is from my 2020 ep “Everything You Need.” since then so much has happened, my worldview has deepened exponentially to where the meaning and intention behind the song carry much more weight. i originally wrote this song to shine a light on the collective societal trauma that’s been inflicted upon us. a small attempt at soothing my own pain and uncertainty about the world. now, it’s become a vessel to give the voices that have been silenced a chance to live on…
the supremely talented @undressintheriver is on the electric guitar. that solo is unbelievable. thank you and @_brandonrudolph for all the help in bringing this idea to reality. part of me is still wrapping my head around the fact we did this. forever grateful.

I hope this finds you well… really excited to announce my latest single BodyMove is on all streaming platforms!
I compiled the clips for this video around the overarching emotion of fear; the manifestation being predator v. prey. (no pun intended i just love how that scene was shot) each clip captures the rawness when someone is faced with an overwhelming, dangerous scenario. To react with the instinctive mind as opposed to calculated assessments can yield pretty remarkable results under the right circumstances. For most, the real life application usually isn’t as extreme, but fear in life will make the routine seem daunting. we’re all facing our own set of terrors… Failure is only guaranteed if you give up. If you stay in the same place mentally, physically, spiritually, and emotionally you run the risk of losing yourself. So, move like everything depends on it. Take control of your life. Take that risk. Chase your dreams even when it’s scary and uncertain. The only way fear will catch you is if you stop moving.

This body of work was recorded in 2020 literally after finishing my first body of work #CovidCoop. To have taken the time to go about releasing this project with more intention from production to promotion, getting to this point was a true labor of love. This project is much more than the artwork, it’s layered and truly just the beginning of what I have in store within the GeeBose Cinematic Cosmos(GCC). Biblically speaking, this is like my Songs of Solomon…it’s multi layered but a reflection of my life’s experience from vanity/bravado to ego death. It’s wild how life imitates art and in this case film lol. Big love to the bro @a.lore_official for being willing to take this journey with me when I presented the idea to him and build this creative world out. As 7/7 approaches, I hope y’all truly enjoy what we curated and put together!
