What's the last time you had a deep conversation with someone from a completely different field? The more experienced you get at your vocation, the more difficult it is to remember other perspectives. Science and art, for example, are today often seen as complete opposites - a myth that we want to bust 🎨🔬 At @a.hiddenvariable , we bring together scientists, artists, technologists, cultural workers and many others, helping people to truly see each other's work, have an interesting conversation and - hopefully - spark a new connection. #scienceart #sciart #sciencecommunication #interdisciplinary #creativity

EN What happens to the human experience when we stop viewing our final transition as a spiritual destiny and start treating it as a "Technical Failure"? For millennia, the human end was managed through a collective lineage—the "Great Chain of Being." The Enlightenment and the Industrial Revolution severed these links, leaving the contemporary subject as an isolated "atom" burdened with the impossible task of sustaining its own existence. In this modern paradigm, we have reframed the biological body as a machine and aging as a bug to be debugged. #ContemporaryArt #BioArt #Sculpture #BerlinArt #Thermodynamics #ErwinSchrödinger #MetabolicScience #ConceptualArt #QuantifiedSelf #MedicalHumanities #Individualism #Mortality #ArtResearch

A few moments from last week's "Death? Yes/No/ Maybe" exhibition by @a.hiddenvariable at @culterim_spaces Gesundbrunnen. Thanks to everyone who came by and @a.hiddenvariable team for making it happen by binding such a lovely cross-disciplinary community! 💙 I'm quite happy I got to make pics with many of my friends who visited, which I always miss on doing. Thanks @subversive_intellect for this shot 📸 🪩 Looking forward for the next experience🧜🧜🏼‍♀️🧜🏾‍♂️ . . . . . . #berlinbased #artopening #femaleartists

Thank you to everyone who took part in "Death? Yes/ No/ Maybe" - the latest art-science festival by @a.hiddenvariable ! Hundreds of visitors and participants, months of work by the team - to bring you the new format of #scienceart and #sciencecommunication at the cross-disciplinary borders. The team spent yesterday packing and cleaning the venue (ah, the things we do for art...) - but we are already thinking about the next event 🔬🎨

My work "Mycornucopia" doing quite well on a pedestal for the first time, now on view. It started during lockdown as a way to pass the time, more habit than ambition, no grand plan whatsoever, just something to work on while everything else was on pause. I didn't really imagine it would end up in a gallery setting. Seriously, maybe just a tiny bit of hopeful thinking, that was it, but here we are. It still feels like the same piece to me, just in a slightly better company. Glad to be part of this Berlin show with artists from across Germany with different backgrounds. Chemnitz and Munich came first, Berlin took its time. This one feels a little closer to home, metaphorically, and definitely, literally! @a.hiddenvariable

Some of my favourite moments from "Death? Yes/No/maybe" there were so many so it is really hard to select just a fue for the Instagram post. It is very challenging to be curator of @a.hiddenvariable but simultaneously very rewarding. It is amazing to have such a wonderful and engaged community and I am really thankful for all of you. Especially for the wonderful dedicated people who co-organised this event with me: @subversive_intellect @im.gruenen.salon @lufo.art @avasciart 🥰hope we will organise much more wonderful events together. Special thank you to amazing people who supported my work: @davidaldave @adbahn @kermittesoro @__n_i_c_k___f_i_o_r_e_n_z_a__ And giant thank you to all the artists and scientist who took part🥰 I hope all those new connections will grow to strong friendships and long term collaborations. If you haven't visited yet exhibition is still on till Wednesday 25th🥰

A #exposição Death? Yes/No/Maybe começa hoje! Em exibição em #Berlim, no @culterim_spaces — Culterim | Spaces | Rossmann, de 20 a 25 de março de 2026. Apresento duas obras que integram a instalação total — Small Laboratory to Recreate Humans. Body is an Archive as Steam Engine, 2025 Arquivo digital FullHD, imagens de arquivo e originais, 2:36 Body is an Archive as Steam Engine é um poema visual onde mundos humano e mecânico se fundem em silêncio. Regarding the exhibition, I share the text from Culterim Spaces Rossmann: The exhibition "Death? Yes/No/Maybe" explores humanity's relentless pursuit of immortality through the intersection of contemporary art, scientific research, and speculative practice. Bringing together visual artworks, live performances, immersive environments, and participatory experiences, the exhibition examines how the desire to transcend biological limits is reshaping culture, identity, and the future of the human body. Curated by: Ala Leresteux, Lufo Art, Li Anna Töppe Location: Brunnenstrasse 105-109
