Les comparto este aftermovie cinemático que sintetiza la experiencia vivida el 1ero de Febrero en "Râhoola's Oneiric Metaverse" el debut escenico de A Flying Fish:
"Sobre el fondo del escenario del Teatro del Centro de las Artes, decenas de imágenes de dibujos animados, escenas de películas diversas y otras tantas de personajes variados fueron proyectadas con un propósito único, hacer que la audiencia reunida en la sala ingresara a los sueños de Ráhoola y compañía. Dividido en dos partes, el programa estuvo compuesto por 13 obras y una duración de 70 minutos recorrió la discografía del ensamble desde el año 2019 y hasta la actualidad, lo que permitió al público introducirse en la propuesta... Incluso, hasta en algunos momentos la cumbia también se dejó escuchar entre las notas que llenaron el Teatro del Centro de las Artes, con toda intención de mostrar una gran variedad de estilos musicales."

A lot going on within this mothership. 🛸
One little exciting update though regarding *new* music, is that ACT-2 from "El Pez Que Voló" has finally started to recruit/abduct guests. Here a little preview with legendary power metal singer/dragon-slaying maestro 🇮🇹 @fabiolione (Rhapsody Of Fire / Angra) who interprets a mysterious fellow. Fabio's potent vocals were delivered fantastically, as he fully inmersed in his knightly character for the upcoming adventure of this strange soaring fish.
Thankful with @charleslogic & @psicofoniastudio for the engineering and for sharing this sweet moment.

After several months facing tides of BIG changes 🌊🌊🌊 the waters are settling in and I can share with you an array of news:
1. 🎭 AFF's live show "Râhoola's Oneiric Metaverse" had its debut and it was an absolute joy. All the hard work paid off as we delivered an action-packed performance to the 140 attentive eyes/ears/minds of the audience. Happy with the results and eager to reproduce this spectacle with the talented AFF LIVE quintet(+) Jesus @_jesusvergara Monica @monicalyrae Jorge @georgetamez Gara @garadiddles & Alex @alex_v (you rule).
2. 🎙️ "El Pez Que Voló - ACT II" (EPQV2) final recordings were finished the past January. The final abducted guests (recorded between August 2024 and Jan 2025) featured a young & talented Mexican violin player, a legendary violinist from Slovenia, a powerful trombonist from the USA and a veteran Mexican baritone. In the next post I'll talk more about each of them.
3. 🎚️ EPQV2 album is currently in its final post-production stages. Soon to be revealed its cover artwork, the date of digital+physical release via @apollonrecords & @gymnocalindustries , credits and the tracklist.
4. 👕💿 MERCH - "The Shadow" Fish-T-Shirts are now in limited stock (order via aflyingfish.bandcamp or DM) in collaboration with @munsterworks_ and an exclusive limited 50 piece CD (jacket/sleeve) will be announced compiling Tears of God & Maestro del Disfraz (which had no official physical release).
5. 🌌🌐 WEBSITE - aflyingfish.space (suitable name, eh?) is officially up and running, and will contain news and information regarding this strange soaring fish. Go in and explore!

Ecuador — Diciembre 2025 👽🇪🇨🐟
Me tardé unos días, pero aquí va la historia:
Del 12 al 14 de diciembre fue un fin de semana extremo, retador y muy satisfactorio. Un viaje exprés desde Monterrey hasta Quito, Ecuador: 15 horas de traslado entre ida y regreso, volando junto a Nico @garzapatron compañero de esta aventura y héroe inesperado que rescató (corriendo el maratón de su vida) a las marionetas olvidadas en un avión en Panamá.
Al llegar a Quito, el recibimiento fue bastante cálido. Gracias a Sundown Records (a Diego, Sara) y al equipo de Bueroboros (Alex y familia, Equidnos) por hacernos sentir en casa desde el primer momento.
Al día siguiente, llega el mensaje del promotor:
“Nos acaban de cancelar el museo donde sería el venue. Estoy resolviéndolo.”
Resulta que el evento iba a ser muy "dark" para MUXEUM y el dueño se asustó.
Mientras Diego entraba en modo misión de rescate, nosotros soltamos el control. Caminamos por el bello parque La Carolina, conocimos un poco la ciudad y comimos un rico pescado encebollado. Horas después: "Se logró la misión. Habemus venue.”
Soundcheck, mesa de merch (Mire y Ariel, enormes!), y comienzan las primeras ventas. Durante el evento pude ver reunirse a la genial comunidad gótica de Quito: bandas, artistas visuales, poetas, promotores, músicos y público que mostró un afecto muy honesto por el proyecto. Agradecimientos especiales a BUTOH por el single y por prestarme el controlador MIDI para la presentación, así como a Jose Hangman, PhantasusStore, Satrina y a todas las personas creativas que se acercaron a apoyar.
Showtime. Más allá del trabajo impecable de Nico el todólogo (audio, cámara, video), estuve solo en el escenario, pero acompañado en video y espíritu por mi quinteto. (Y en momentos por Alex, Ariel y Nico enmascarados). La recepción fue increible: comentarios positivos, energía, magia… hasta regalos me traje!
Y al terminar: correr al aeropuerto para tomar el vuelo de madrugada de regreso a Mty.
