I think one of the most rewarding parts of documenting weddings and couple shoots is getting a small window into how couples communicate and care for each other in their own ways. It always makes us pause and reframe our perspectives on what love looks like, and in some ways, reminds us to keep working on our own journey too as we slowly build a future of our own. <33
Recently, we’ve been stumbling upon posts by
@prestonrack showcasing little stories and shared reflections about love and the lil nuggets of wisdom behind it.🧮 With Hana & JY, it felt especially heartwarming to witness how much they’ve chosen each other while still figuring out adulthood together.
After more than 8 years, they’ve grown so comfortable with one another. they bicker and roast each other freely, yet always validate one another and choose each other at the end of the day. They look out for each other’s families. They nag at each other to be better. They show up for each other, even when it’s inconvenient.
What resonated with us most was how clearly they understand one another, even without having everything figured out yet. The future is uncertain.🔮 Studies are still ongoing while livin the funemployment era. And yet, they choose each other.
The sweetest thing we admired from hanging out with them was seeing how they didn’t just talk, they communicated. & maybe the bickering wasn’t conflict at all, but comfort. It’s a sign of how safe they feel with one another.🫀
because maybe all love really is at its core just showing up, again and again, even when it’s inconvenient; to a future you can’t see yet but are actively working on to live in, one day.🫶🏽
