@notjulio and I visited a small town caught amid global forces, and the people working to give its children a chance at the future. Full video, and a link to support the Bright Day school, in bio.
Bhutan is sort of like the Asia I learned about as a kid but never actually encountered (until now). Watch our playful and (hopefully) insightful video on this diverse, traditional and beautiful kingdom from the link in bio.
Qatar is a common layover stop on international flights but it’s less common to get out the airport. If you have the chance, I highly recommend it. Full video in bio.
If you like westerns, “All Men Are Wicked” is now available on Prime Video (and on American Airlines flights!) I think this film was worth making, and considering it involved 16 days of getting stung by sweat bees, that’s saying something. Link in bio.
Some of you may know I got into app development a number of years ago. Today I’m releasing my third app, a fast and intuitive filmmaker’s viewfinder called FinderKit. This took about a year of work and I’m really happy with how it came out. If you work in film, give it a try and let me know what you think! Link in bio.
Special thanks to my two favorite beta testers @timgvr and @timbutt2official for their frequent ideas and feedback; many features wouldn’t exist without them. Also thanks to @fsoligan and @annaeveb for the encouragement and early brainstorming. Finally @soundbysamw should be thanking ME for jumpstarting his hand modeling career.
Last year, I traveled to Afghanistan with @notjulio . We saw a lot and met some of the nicest people I’ve ever met. We also had some experiences with the Taliban that I would describe as “uncomfortable” and were driven through a tunnel that I thought I might die in. But most importantly we got to help start a school for kids who otherwise wouldn’t have been able to afford it, which feels like a basic, unequivocally good thing, and those opportunities feel hard to come by, so I’m grateful. You can watch the series at NotJulio.com or donate to help keep the school running at LocalLiteracyProject.org
