On a previous trip to Paris Warren and I saw Claude Monet’s Water Lillies paintings and fell in love with the serene, immersive display. They became very special to us. So when Warren surprised me with a trip to the little town of Giverny, to visit Claude Monet’s home and gardens, before arriving in Paris I was so touched by his thoughtfulness. We stayed in a little cottage a block from Monet’s estate and explored the wild flower covered streets. During our last night we came to a lush green field at sunset on the banks of the Seine River and opened a bottle of wine. Warren put his arms around me and poured his heart out. He proposed with his great grandmother Vivian’s diamond from 1919. To say I feel like the luckiest girl in the world and very honored is an understatement. Forever isn’t long enough.
I think I learned a new trick at 45, but I'm also 45 so it's hard to remember.
fakie big spin manny, hanging on by a weeble wobble, was quite the battle for these old bones.
Anyways, here's to baby stepping at the 3 different parks we have in our area, we used to get arrested for this shit.
thanks to our city and communities for supporting skateboarding, especially the beach park. That one was a bit of a doozy.
Solid run of some hoot high waves, gulf finally saying hello again.

It’s wild how rare it is for everything to line up and produce good waves on the Gulf Coast. Days like this are a big part of what’s behind our vision and efforts at @shellpointsurfclub . Grateful for the support and excitement around it.
A couple more photos from last year. All shot around Sunnyside, FL, a small neighborhood I grew up in.
