Thank you to everyone showing up for the presentation of the abstract at exposa, reflecting on questions with us and folding boats! We are excited for the next issue, the theme is TIDE Send us your idea (title and short description) to [email protected] TIDE issue 09 It arrives in the night, leaves traces on the edge, and withdraws before we can say what it carried. There is a rhythm, almost a system: coming and going, rising and falling. Constantly changing and ever evolving. A pulse beneath the surface of things. Everything moves this way. Ideas wash in, saturate the ground, and recede, leaving behind a changed surface. Forms resurface. Attitudes return. The tide carries old material into new contexts, worn smooth by passage, recognisable but altered. It is up to us to feel this pull. Can we anticipate the cycle or transcend it entirely? How can we make sure not to end up stranded or get washed away? Do we wait for the right moment to catch the wave? Do we respond to it, carry it forward or do we allow it to transform? The shore is never the same shore twice. But the tide always returns. We invite contributions that engage with this sense of movement and return. Works that explore cycles, rhythms, shifts and traces. Whether in architecture, systems, environments or ideas. Tide is open but not directionless. It is a framework for thinking about change as something continuous, layered and always in motion.
