It was our first screening ever, so honestly we were a little nervous — but seeing the café filled with friends, family, and warm conversations made us so happy.
And the delicious crab pot from Oki Island made the night even more special.
We are deeply grateful we could create and share this night together!
As the new year begins, we, Inès Julien and Risa Hamada, are pleased to announce the release of our film “幽 -Before Memory-.”
A short film woven from Butoh, voice, and fragments of thought, unfolding through a choreographic dialogue.
We had the honor of working alongside two professional Butoh dancers, k_butoh and @yuko_yubusha .
We would also like to thank @perla_ar__ and 北星照ラス for their help with the production, as well as @bananalizaard for her contribution to the visuals.

The @sum_mer_2025 exhibition ended last Sunday.
Thank you so much to my professors for giving me the opportunity to present my film "Le coffre" alongside so many other talented artists here at the @gallery_akcua gallery in Kyoto.
The curators were exceptionally kind and humane, and I was deeply moved to be able to share, for a whole month, the story and portrait of my mother through this work.
The team put in tremendous effort to continue highlighting the importance of being engaged and standing up against violence and repression.
Art is a voice — a way to make communication accessible to those who never had it. Like my mother, in the video.
