In 2026, VALOR is Rooted and Reimagined! ☀️ We’re rooted in the history of our movement, goals of preventing and ending sexual violence, and in the communities we’ve cultivated along the way and, at the same time, were reimagining the leaders of our movement, what healing and justice mean, and how we can continue our work unrestricted. Join us! ¡Únase a nosotros!

Survivors and programs cannot wait any longer for federal funding. @senalexpadilla & @senadamschiff , act now to help ensure these funds are released immediately. Tell the DOJ and HHS to immediately publish NOFOs and expedite the release of congressionally appropriated funds. Survivors can’t wait. #FundSafetyNow #SupportSurvivors #SurvivorsDeserveBetter

Survivors of crime need $100 million in state funds to support the life-saving services they depend on to heal after violent crimes. While we appreciate @cagovernor including $25 million toward these services, being short $75 million means devastating cuts to emergency housing, mental health counseling, and more. @cagovernor , join the Senate, Assembly, and Legislative Women's Caucus, and include the full $100 million in the final budget to support survivors of sexual assault, domestic violence, human trafficking, child abuse, and more. #CABudget #MayRevise #CALeg Read our press release by clicking our 🔗 in bio or find it here ➡️ https://loom.ly/VegAA8I

The Assembly agrees with us - it’s time to fund crime victim services! California needs to fund core shelter, counseling, and other services that victims and survivors of sexual assault, domestic violence, child abuse, and human trafficking depend on. Thank you to @asmpilarschiavo for being our fearless champion, and thank you to @caspeakerrivas , @asmjessegabriel , and asmjamesramos for proposing funding for victim services in the coming year’s budget. @cagovernor , we urge you to do the right thing by joining the Assembly, Senate, and @cawomenscaucus and include $100 million in the May Revise. #cabudget

Over 200 of us made one thing incredibly clear: funding for victim services must be included in this year’s budget. Thank you to @ourfamilywizard for sponsoring Policy Advocacy Day 2026! Trigger warning: blood, images of physical abuse

Today, I stood alongside survivors, advocates, allies, and organizations like @_valorus and the @endingdvinca , once again calling for $100 million in VOCA funding to protect critical services for victims of domestic violence and survivors across California. We are facing uncertainty at the federal level that threatens life-saving resources so many families depend on. California must continue to step up to ensure survivors have access to lifesaving services and support they need to rebuild their lives safely and with dignity. I remain committed to fighting for this funding in this year’s state budget and standing with every survivor who has had the courage to speak up, seek help, and continue forward despite unimaginable challenges. Thank you to every survivor, advocate, and organization who stood with us today and continues this fight every single day.

Today is #MayDay, and VALOR honors the women workers who generate billions in economic value, yet continue to experience workplace sexual harassment and violence that threatens their safety, wages, and dignity. Stand with women workers, demand safe workplaces, and recognize their power today and every day. #YaBastaCenter @seiu_usww

On Denim Day, I met with ValorUS and leaders from Standing Together to End Sexual Assault to discuss the critical need for sustained funding for victim service providers. As federal resources shift, we must ensure California continues to support survivors and the organizations that serve them.
