Under Color is spotlighting our new signing @jamesdroll today!! We’re so excited to have James joining the Under Color family ❤️ James has built a career at the intersection of honesty and humor, carving out a reputation as one of Nashville’s most distinct queer voices. As a songwriter, his pen has been behind tracks now streamed well over 180 million times, including Vintage Culture’s breakout song “Pour Over” (80M+), gavn’s “hit the dirt” and Joy Oladokun’s collaborative anthem “We’re All Gonna Die” featuring Noah Kahan. Across his own artist catalog he has amassed over 50 million streams. He has opened up for artists such as Noah Kahan, Twenty one Pilots, Elohim, Greyson Chance, and Paper Route. Droll is currently at work on his next project spotlighting the best of Nashville’s queer songwriting community, told through his own story with a tongue in cheek surrealism.

Under Color is spotlighting artist Harleigh Colt today! Formerly the bass player in Rainbow Kitten Surprise, Charlie Holt has reemerged on the scene as Harleigh Colt. They started spinning under the monicker DJ Harleigh Colt a few years ago. They will forever spin to their heart’s content and are open to dj opportunities in the future, but they’re focused on redefining their career through writing and artistry. After spending their twenties touring the world to sold out crowds of thousands of people, their thirties are about prioritizing all of the loves in their life. Those loves include their chosen family and their music. Exploring co-writing, djing, sound baths, and playing all different kinds of instruments has brought them the most peace since being asked to leave their former band. No Country For New Nashville also included “Good Clean Fun” in their songs of the week! “Good Clean Fun” follows June’s fiery single “Fawn’s Rage,” which premiered its haunting, self-directed video exclusively via Earmilk, and March’s reflective “Jesus Moment.” Around “Fawn’s Rage,” Medley launched her first-annual Fawn’s Rage Fest, curating a live event that spotlighted the raw energy of her latest era. Now fully independent and signed as a writer with Kobalt Music, Maddie’s recent releases reflect a creative resurgence and deepened self-possession. Maddie Medley is a poetic powerhouse whose music blends indie folk, alternative rock, and evocative lyricism into something deeply personal and hauntingly resonant. Her writing evokes the raw emotionality of Fiona Apple and the delicate mystery of Mazzy Star, paired with a voice that is as commanding as it is cathartic.
