Lately I’ve been thinking about this concept from Jung - coniunctio, the sacred union of opposites. It’s where love and loss, eternity and impermanence meet. The ache that comes from holding both, and the quiet transformation that happens when you don’t turn away.

Just a little video I threw this together with things I shot on my iPhone over the summer between Tokyo, Hokkaido, Seoul, and Kochi.

This summer was kinetic. Everything changed, internally and externally and through it all, I found myself trying to capture more of these ephemeral moments on my iPhone.
I used to feel like I either never had enough time or energy for all the things I wanted to do - there was always an obstacle that felt immovable, or at least, deeply exhausting to trudge through.
But between 4am sunrises, sleep-deprived laughs shared with friends, and brief moments of stillness to stop and look at flowers, I found myself profoundly enjoying these imperfect moments.
And that’s the thing, you’ll never have enough time if you think there’s enough time. But if you observe every moment as if you have chosen it for yourself, the destination starts to feel just like another moment that you’ll meet along the journey - equally imperfect and whole.
Thank you always to my incredibly talented friend @_tylermcbeth for throwing a whole song together in like less than a day. And thanks to everyone who made this summer so magical ✨
