Where to begin…
Common practice would be to tag the people in this photo, say things about what we did and how fun/hard/rewarding it all was, thank the people who supported the effort, file it all into the memory bank, then sort out what’s for dinner.
This image hit me different, commanded reflection. The moment I saw it I experienced a lifetime in a few short seconds. Vivid scenes, stories, and emotions of the last 15+ years in this industry flashed in front of me like filmstrip run at 1000x.
Experiencing that all in one lump sum got to me. Sad for a moment then instantly overwhelmed with gratitude. I have gotten to be a part of so many special things in the Motorsport industry. Ive driven machines in and out of competition that I would have never been able to without the generosity of others. I’ve had the privilege of helping/mentoring countless drivers and technicians, worked tirelessly to keep everyone safe and fast. I’ve been lucky to contribute to the efforts of major brands, major teams, and some of the best individuals you could hope to have in your life.
2025 has been tough. A thousand cuts finally took their toll and I find myself in a different world than I ever expected. Somewhere along the way though, a beautiful thing happened. I began to see that the people I had selflessly supported started showing up to offer themselves in return.
I’ll save the tags and mentions for another time because, for me at least, this photo represents a community of amazing people that I am grateful to call friends. Thank you all.
P.S. someone tell me who shot this photo so I can thank them.
I wanted 300k to be special with this thing and @pikespeakhillclimb seemed a fitting place for the milestone. So much has changed around me over the years but this beautiful machine has been my rock. Time to start the next chapter, can’t wait to see where we go next.
