Please welcome to the stage our ‘SHOWGIRLS’ 👯♀️
To celebrate the 30th birthday of @crownmelbourne we were invited to present a retrospective of ‘Showgirl’ costumes from the Crown archives, spanning its 30-year history, showcased through our very own lens.
We were given full access to the archives, assembling a combination of historical pieces with our own custom creations to present 11 fully styled looks on a ‘Busby Berkeley’ style revolving stage.
“This special assemblage of costume pieces are from a wide selection of tableaux and mise-en-scènes created for many of Crown’s major events, shows and celebrations spanning 30 years – New Year’s Eve parties, Crown’s 10 year birthday, VIP special events and on-floor, roving entertainment.
Over 30 year’s of glittering days, the artistry and work that Crown gave to so many Melbourne artists and creatives is to be celebrated, right here in the Atrium at Crown!
