On Sunday we were proud to host our ACL Collective Workshop and coffee catch up at Recoverie Northwood ☕️ A day dedicated to education, movement and empowering our ACL patients through every stage of rehab. We wrapped things up with a post-workout coffee and chat, creating space for connection, shared experiences and honest conversations This workshop was held in support of charity @_icanyoucantoo , and it’s just the beginning. We’ll be running these sessions regularly as we continue to build a stronger ACL community. Would you like to join in on our next one?

Myth Bust Monday - #2 ACL - When can I return to sport after my surgery? It’s been almost a year, the surgeon said I could go back after a year! I am dying to go back to my sport again! I feel strong, I have been lifting heavy and have no pain at all! So, can I? Well, only if ACL rehab was time dependent and not function dependent! Every ACL journey is different but what isn’t is how we get everyone in the clinic within 3-7 days of having had surgery. There’s so many positives from this but our biggest one is building trust again. Watching out for any signs of infection, walking pattern changes, swelling management & overall mentally looking after you. First 3 months @recoverie.health done and dusted! What an incredible experience to kickstart my career as a physiotherapist! The team at Recoverie have been amazing and I am so grateful to be able to share a bit of what we do here. To commemorate 3 months at Recoverie Health, here are 3 keys I have learnt thus far: 1. Learning throughout this profession is CONSTANT. I don’t think I have gone a single day without learning something new in clinic, on an admin side or simply increasing my knowledge base to better treat patients. 2. It is ok to say I don’t know. I’ve always wanted to have all the answers in the world when asked, but being transparent to avoid mis-information and get advice from seniors, clinic leads and other specialists is a must to provide the best quality care! 3. Take time for yourself! Managing your energy inside and outside clinic allows you to think clearly, expands on current skills and avoids burnout.

Happy with the results as I PR’ed each lift but there are some things I can improve on in the future as I went 7/9 on the day.
