New desk for a mixing console that I built for Melbourne producer @scnd_thought .
I've had a number of people asking for this style. I finally got around to designing and building one. So hit me up if you're in need and wanting a build.

Made this in the past day. Still needs to be stained but I'll get to that another day. It's a stand for my Lynx Hilo and monitor controller. I was using a bar stool and really needed something else. Once stained it will really pop.

New legs from different recycled wood that I milled that I will use in a desk I'm building for @scnd_thought . The desk is for a mixing console and this is my first build using joinery techniques. Learnt a lot, particularly with regards to my technique. Wouldn't say I need it but I'm pretty happy.

Another rolling rack done. The weather made it a bit difficult but done. Taking it to someone today in Northern Suburbs of Melbourne. Then on to the text project and more mastering.

This was my original #mastering desk I made from Victorian Ash. From the outset it was a labour of love and over it's life it went through so many modifications, that contributed to the mastering of 100s of different artists and releases. This desk held memories but my setup and approach came to change and I decided to let it go. I like the ability to "let go" and not accumulate things because of nostalgia. Sometimes nostalgia can hold negativity too and hold a person to the past, thus making them unavailable to the present.
Anyway, it took a LOT of cleanup to get it to the condition I thought it required for a sale.amd this is the final result.
My client said after paying and taking me to the pub, "I know I've just bought one from you so I don't want to sound bad, but you should be selling these for twice as much" I said "I know, but I have a method and plan and it works for me" in truth I should be charging twice as much for everything I do but my life is rich and somehow my approach keeps away the riff raff. "I don't wanna change the world, and I don't want the world to change me."

Recent builds I just dropped to clients in Sydney. Epic journey with lots of challenges but got it done.
The desk was my personal.Victorian Ash desk refurbished and sold to a client.
So happy to be home though.
