There were so many moments I felt stuck. Lost on a road. Confused in a new place. Overthinking in my own head. And every time, it wasn’t some big heroic help that saved me.
It was them.
A small smile.
Someone waiting patiently.
Someone standing nearby, not staring, not judging, just letting me be.
In a world where you often feel too aware of yourself, too conscious, too different, they made me feel normal. Comfortable. Like I didn’t have to prove anything. Like I could just exist.
They may not even know what they did.
But just by being kind in small, quiet ways, they made my days lighter.
Sometimes you don’t need fixing.
You just need to feel like you belong for a moment.
And that’s the kind of people we all deserve and should aspire to be.❤️
