Join us for the celebration of this release! -> Listening session and a talk on behalf of the work of Thomas Peter, moderated by @oliviawiederkehr The album is released on @hallowgroundlabel The Zurich based composer Thomas Peter regards the five tracks on «changing bodies» as five self-contained worlds of perception in which he sought to develop their own dynamic forms of complexity and physicality. All the tracks were created over an extended period of development, during which he deliberately employed multiple cycles of revision as part of his compositional process. ‘Something that is there, something similar’ is based on an exploration of various forms of inner escape. He was particularly interested in the act of turning inwards as a way of gathering one’s thoughts, as a moment of stillness, and as a space for physical experience.

I'm very excited to announce my new solo album, 'changing bodies'. It's being released on the wonderful #hallowgroundlabel and is available both digitally and on vinyl. You can find the bancamp link in my bio. A huge thanks to Remo from #hallowgroundlabel, Tomas Korber for the mastering, #lupo_lubich for the vinyl cut and #oliviawiederkehr for the outstanding cover. Over several years, I collected field recordings and captured the resonances of wooden, stone, and metal objects. Rather than searching for something specific, I followed my intuition and let myself be guided by my embodied awareness – how did the sounds affect me, which sounds sparked a moment of stillness or energy? The original sounds served as the basis for re-recording and transforming them with analog and digital sound generators. In this way, I translated the source material into musical structures, playing with repetitions and densities to condense soundscapes, charge them emotionally, and open them into new sound spaces. This resulted in my latest solo album, Changing Bodies. #electronicmusic #experimental
