As the young ladies of The Treasure Within continue on their journey toward Sunday’s Crowning Ceremony, last week they also had the opportunity to meet with special guest Prestina Glover, owner of Polished Models and one of our valued mentors. ✨
During her runway confidence session, Prestina taught the girls the fundamentals of model walking — including posture, foot placement, cadence, balance, body awareness, and how to command a room with confidence and grace the moment they walk in.
But beyond the runway, she challenged the girls to understand that the principles behind a model’s walk can transition into everyday life.
The same poise used on a runway can be carried into classrooms, interviews, business settings, leadership roles, public speaking, and personal growth. Learning how to walk with confidence is ultimately about learning how to carry yourself with purpose, self-respect, elegance, and assurance in every environment.
At The Treasure Within, we believe mentorship is about helping young women build confidence from the inside out, and we are grateful for leaders like Prestina who continue to pour wisdom, professionalism, and life skills into the next generation. 💕

A special thank you to Kenneth Donaldson, CEO of Black United Fund of Michigan, for pouring wisdom, encouragement, and affirmation into the young men of The King Within.
Mr. Donaldson is truly part of the reason The King Within exists today. Through his encouragement and belief in the importance of creating a space specifically for boys, he helped inspire the vision to expand and build a program that develops young Kings alongside our Queens.
During his visit, he spoke directly into each young man’s future — reminding them that they are great, capable, intelligent, and destined for purpose. The handshakes, eye contact, and personal conversations meant more than words can express. Moments like these help shape confidence, leadership, and identity.
