Hi friends, I’m Meg 👋🏻 I thought it was time to properly introduce myself — something I’ve been meaning to do for a while. Interior lover, stylist, wife, mum to two little girls, and the one behind The Flea. My background is a bit of a patchwork - operations, events, marketing, styling and colour design. I’ve worked in the corporate world, interior design and styling. But truly, my love for interiors came long before that. I grew up surrounded by creativity. My greatest influences have always been my parents. My mum is one of the most talented designers and stylists I know — she has an incredible ability to make every space feel thoughtful, beautiful, and completely unforgettable. Our childhood homes were warm, layered and full of soul. Watching her work was a quiet kind of education, and the greatest privilege. My dad was my hero — brave, gregarious, and always thinking of others. He passed away a few years ago, but the way he moved through the world still influences how I move through mine. Recently, I came across an old photo of the two of us. I’m wearing a hat that says Flea — long before this business existed or the name had ever crossed my mind and it completely stopped me in my tracks. That photo now lives on our fridge and is a quiet little sign that hopefully, I’m exactly where I’m meant to be. A few years ago, my husband Tim and I bought a 100-year-old cottage in Tasmania — our dream home with a wraparound balcony and views of the Huon Valley. Our girls were their happiest there, running free on an acre of land. When COVID hit, we were locked out and had to make the hard decision to let it go. But something beautiful came from that chapter — it sparked a renewed love for interiors, sourcing and storytelling. And that’s how The Flea came to life. The Flea is a celebration of character, craftsmanship and timeless objects — the kind that help turn a house into a home. If you love interiors, styling tips, and homes with a soul, you’re in the right place. Thanks so much for being here. I’m truly grateful to this beautiful little community. Meg x

Seeing The Flea in the pages of The World of Interiors feels very surreal. Growing up, my Mum bought every issue. We had stacks of them at home and I used to flick through the pages constantly. So being featured in the May edition feels incredibly special 🥹 Thank you for being here and supporting The Flea. It genuinely means the world 💕

Our stone platters are probably my favourite piece in the warehouse right now. They were also our most popular item at our recent warehouse opening. Each one is so different, heavy and versatile. Perfect for the entryway to hold keys and sunglasses, or styled with candles on the coffee table. I love them. Sourced from India, they’re vintage and show the most beautiful marks of time 🤎 They come in a range of sizes and styles. Keep an eye out for our next one of a kind drop - a small release of these beauties is coming soon x

Our large White Vintage Pot. A soft white wash finish, worn back over time, giving it that quiet, lived-in feel. I keep coming back to this one. I love styling it with a few dried branches - something simple, nothing overdone. It really doesn’t need much. It’s one of those pieces that just sits quietly, but somehow pulls a space together 🤍
