Windrush writing 🚢📝 We are loving using @theliteracytree Writing Roots for our writing across the school this year! A stand out unit for year 4 has been writing a non-fiction report about the experience of those who came to Britain on the Empire Windrush! Inspired by the book ‘Granny Came Here on the Empire Windrush’ 🚢 My class did some brilliant writing and really enjoyed putting together all they had learnt into a non-fiction piece of writing! 🍽️ Hot Food Nice! 🥔 - BOOK REVIEW - AD | PR gifted @walkerbooks @walkerpicturebooks 📚 ▫️Author: @iammichaelrosen ▫️Illustrator: @neal_layton ▫️Reading age: Year 1 + 📖 ▫️Summary: My class and I absolutely howled reading this together! An incredible read aloud especially if you’ve seen Michael tell this story himself - you have to do his voice for ‘noice!’ A really fun and humorous story that kids will just love.
