29 laps around the sun, but this years birthday is special. Months after I was born my mother and I moved to the US. She left her home, family, and everything she knew and embarked on a journey that she had no guide for. She’s sacrificed so much to help put me where I am today. When I was a child I promised her that I would take her back home, and finally, I made good on that promise. The past few weeks have been amazing, I’ve met family who have watched me grow up through pictures and videos, and has once changed my diapers. Family is precious, so is time. So spend it with the ones that care about you, even if they’re across the world.
