I met @paolo_giorgi while spending some time at a quiet homestay in Indonesia. We were immediately connected by the ideas of telling stories about communities in the areas where we chased quieter waves.
We dreamt of doing this project where we would visit different cultures and coastlines and connect with local guides who could show us their side to surfing.
This message was from Paolo before I knew I was going as he was on his way over. It was a spontaneous trip without a massive swell in sight. It was just to ignite the idea and bring it to life.
These were a few of many amazing frames we captured while spending a few days out there. @snoopystyle_ was our guide and what a pleasure to meet such a soul. Pure passion for the ocean and unmatched style. To see him and Paolo surf in the flow they generate was something special.
Thanks to all the locals for being so welcoming and generous.
For someone who gets bored easily I am always mesmerised by the shapes this place can create. This was an almost perfect circle I witnessed on my last swim out there.
What a pack of legends. That’s a wrap for Rookie Rippers 2026. This time we made the mission to the Canary Islands in search of some punchy setups. These are a few stills and a clip or two from the trip that I pulled together today.
It’s been epic to be involved with this project the last few years and to switch to a more explorative concept has been refreshing after the years being involved with the project.
The future generation of @oneilleurope is in good hands with this whitty crew of surfers. Can’t wait to see what the future holds for this bunch.
The art of flight w/ @paolo_giorgi on a recent trip to the magical place that is Morocco.
We didn’t expect a punchy wedge amongst all the point breaks scattered along the coast. Thanks @snoopystyle_

A short two week trip back to a special patch. A place I feel free, exposed to like minded humans and a space of peace. Connecting with some special humans along the way. Always feel like I grow more as a person out there. Thanks to @ellawalursurfhouse for always looking after us and the family too.
Here are a collection of frames I grabbed from my long taxi ride home. Till next time.
