The entrance doesn’t announce itself loudly—it welcomes. Stepping inside this Palm Jumeirah residence, the warm sands set a quiet, grounded tone. Sculptural forms within the furniture pieces pause the eye without demanding attention. Designed by @_studioamal_ & @studioanafosteradams 📷 Photo credit: @nateleecocks

Another look inside our Palm Jumeirah residence. The design was shaped by the desert landscape. Warm sands. Layered blues of sky and sea. Earthy terracottas. All brought together as a calm, comfortable retreat. The living room features the etcetera chair @artillerietstore @tigmitrading upholstered in @kvadrattextiles next to two beautiful @benoit_viaene coffee tables. We are so happy to finally share this project with you! Our Palm Jumeirah residence is featured in the Spring/Summer 2026 issue of Marie Claire Maison Arabia – and we’re honored to have our publication debut of the year alongside @kellywearstler . This project was designed by Studio Amal, working together with @studioanafosteradams who was part of our team at the time, and in collaboration with @bci_fitout . We are so happy to have helped our clients design their dream spaces for over five years now as returning clients – so seeing this project on these pages feels especially meaningful. The design draws from the desert landscape – warm sands, layered blues of sky and sea, earthy terracottas – shaped into a calm, comfortable retreat. Comfort over impression. Memories over trends. A home that reflects the way the family truly lives. Art and sculptural elements in the architecture, furniture, and lighting were chosen with intention and given room to breathe. Thank you to @nateleecocks for her photography and to Ayesha Shehmir-Shaikh for telling the story with such care. Grab the new Marie Claire Maison Arabia issue. And stay tuned – we have new projects coming very soon. Palm Jumeirah | Dubai #marieclaire #palmjumeirah #studioamal

“Would you even work on something this small?” — words from the client of this Kennedy Town project. So here’s a look at how we work, at any scale. (Full renovations? Yes. But care and attention? That’s every project, big or small.) This project is a beautiful Kennedy Town apartment featuring Chinese antiques and old Hong Kong architecture. Our approach? Honouring what’s there — the character, the history, the details — while adding a deliberate, contemporary lived-in feel. Inspired by Hong Kong and our Scandinavian roots. From our first meeting, to mood boards and material direction, to furniture selections and spatial visualisations — every project, no matter the scale, gets our full attention. Now, you can book a consultation directly through our website — starting with our Design Direction Package (Tier 1). A low-commitment, high-impact way to experience how we work. Are you ready for your spring reset? Introducing @somewherelombok — a boutique hotel perched on a mountaintop overlooking Are Guling Bay. Opened by Hong Kong-based sisters Claire and Valia Gontard, chose Lombok as their home to honour their grandfather’s birthplace . It was an absolute pleasure working with them. Their vision? A space where you arrive hurried and leave completely still. Twenty villas cascading down a hillside. Concrete floors, timber screens, and infinity edges that seem to spill into the jungle. Handwoven textiles from Central Java. Pottery from local artisans just minutes away. And Valia’s own photography of Lombok’s people and landscapes adorning the walls. Lombok is slower, quieter, more soulful than its neighbour Bali. The perfect place to truly unwind. 📍 @somewherelombok #StudioAmal #SomewhereLombok #SpringReset #WellbeingDesign #Lombok

Happy Easter from Studio Amal There’s something about spring that makes us crave lightness. Not just the seasonal kind, but the kind that stays—the glow of polished metals, the warmth of light wood, the quiet presence of greenery, and the unmistakable softness of sheepskin chairs that make a room feel instantly inviting. ✨These are the details that bring lasting freshness to a home, long after the holiday has passed. #studioamal #easterinteriors #springrefresh #texturaldesign #sheepskin

There’s something about a piece that refuses to be pinned to a single era. François-Xavier Lalanne’s Mouton de Laine—those legendary woolly sheep—have graced the homes of Yves Saint Laurent, minimalist lofts, and 18th-century interiors alike. Their magic lies in holding their own across any context. The sheepskin brings a softness and warmth that makes the piece feel approachable, homey, and timeless—perfect for any season. While we love a fresh coat of green for spring, true freshness comes from something less expected. A piece that invites a smile, that feels new even decades later. That’s what keeps a design from feeling dated. The Lalanne sheep remind us: sometimes the most timeless move is to be a little playful. 📸: Mouton de Laine by François-Xavier Lalanne (in Interiors from 1971-today) #studioamal #francoisxavierlalanne #moutondelaine #architecturaldigest #springinteriors

We start with a foundation: timeless, minimal spaces rooted in a sustainable Danish ethos. Clean. Calm. Built to endure. Then we layer. Art that speaks. Custom pieces that stand out. Details that feel personal — Those pieces can be hard to come by. But when you find the right makers, the right collaborations, the right unexpected moment — that's where the magic happens. Here are three studios we feature often — and that our clients love and appreciate. @agnesstudio.co | A creative collaboration between Guatemalan designers Estefania de Ros and Gustavo Quintana-Kennedy. Their furniture lives between art and design — materializing hypothetical futures, honoring and defying traditional craft. Featured in Studio Amal projects globally. @22_22studio | Founded by Gloria Landenberger in Amsterdam. Limited edition ceramic stools that are sculptural, functional, and entirely unique — each shaped by hand. @project213a | Custom ceramics crafted in their own workshop — from furniture to tiles to lighting. Each piece is unique, with endless glaze options and a distinctive artisan signature. @sebastianobottos Italian craftsmanship across four generations. We commissioned a custom shoe cabinet — and couldn't be happier with the result. Studios with soul. Pieces our clients love. Made to last. Art Week is here, and Hong Kong is alive with creativity For us, this is what it’s about: art not as an afterthought, but as the soul of a home. The way a sculptural chair holds its own next to a painting. The way a room can be built entirely around a single piece that moves you. The way interiors and furniture become art themselves. This week, the city is full of inspiration, show local artists support and take the opportunity to get to know them! Enjoy the Gallery pop-ups, Art Basel & Art Central and do your home a favour: go out, be inspired and bring that energy back with you! Because when you live with pieces that truly fascinate you, that’s when a house becomes a home. Follow along for our Art Week highlights. Stepping back into one of our favorite projects: the Danish Seamen’s Church in Hong Kong. Our goal was to create a true haven in the heart of the city—a space where Danish heritage meets the vibrant energy of local culture. From the material palette to the custom details, every element was chosen to reflect the deep maritime history that connects these two worlds. A home away from home for seafarers and the local community alike. #HongKong #Architecture #InteriorDesign #Design #Church

Happy International Women’s Day from our Studio! Here’s a little snapshot of studio life with our founder Cecilie and interior designer Lisa. Being a woman-owned business means we get to build spaces—and a company culture—inspired by the strength, grace, and capability of the incredible women around us. Cheers to the amazing women that inspire us and the magic we create around the world.
