Battle of the Bands dump from your fav indie band.
Not so much actual battling, more dancing… and a little bit of winning first place 🤏🏻
Swipe so Jimmy jumps (he loves doing that)
Always lovely being part of @bandmakersmusic 's annual event and getting to perform amongst so many other cool bands. ❤️
Thank you, Alex, for reliving our emo phase with us at Elshatby Emo Night, and for showing our original music some love. ❤️
Cairo, we bet you'd be as lovely. See you sometime soon?
Here’s what we’re bringing to Alex on April 25th: your favorite emo anthems, plus original music by a band that went through the same phase as you (and possibly never got over it).
Swipe for just some of the angst! We promise more where that came from.
Joining us, @restles.dreams bring alt rock hits, turning the night into a 3-hour emotional ride Shatby emo boys and Bahary alt girls won’t want to miss.
🎟️ Limited tickets left — book yours through the link in bio.
Can you spot your favorite emo or alt album cover? We’re bringing the angst to Alex at @saqietgwana this month with حفلة إيمو الشاطبي 🔥
@_stormalong_ is hitting the stage with the songs you definitely cried to on the Corniche in high school—plus original tracks that hit just as hard.
And on the alt side, @restles.dreams takes over, diving into cult classics and sending you straight to “Silent Hill” with their melodic rock.
So Shatby emo boys, go find that lost pair of Converse.
And Bahary alt girls, throw on that Arctic Monkeys shirt again.
We’ll see you April 25. It wasn’t a phase after all.
🎟 Get your tickets through the link in bio.
This week we’re featuring Cairo indie rock band @_stormalong_ with their track “اسكندرية ليه؟” — a song that feels like a memory you can’t quite place but never forget.
Inspired by one of the band’s earliest trips to Alexandria, the track reflects on teenage dreams scattered across cities and time — back when the city still felt like somewhere you could run away to.
Over the years, its seaside nights came to hold different memories — of the things, and people, we lose along the way.
At the heart of the song sits the line:
“سرقت الحلم كان ليك و ليا، لوحدي في ليل اسكندرية ليه؟”
Because the story is so locally rooted, Stormalong chose to sing the track in Arabic for this special release.
Cigarettes After Iftar 13.3.26
We mostly did it so we'd rock the galabeyas on the 5th & 6th slide.
Loved having @danny_daoud_ on drums & @reemamr_ as our special guest, and all of you for joining the joke and making this performance so special. ❤️

Join us this Friday at @roomartspaceofficial for Cigarettes After Iftar 🌙 — a pop-up concert dedicated to your favorite Cigarettes After Sex songs, performed by Stormalong & Misty!
We’ll be joined by special guest @reemamr_ , the vocalist of @revampedband_ , who you might’ve caught covering Tame Impala or Demi Lovato before — but this will be her first time stepping into the haze of Cigarettes After Sex with us.
To close the night, we’ll also play a set of our original songs, fronted by the amazing @mistysiings ✨
See you after iftar <3

Our one-time Arabic track, “Eskndrya Leh?” is now yours, Carienes & Alexandrians alike (link in bio!).
Filmed with @lastshot.filmz , “Eskndrya Leh?” is our special beach episode, sonically and visually. We had so much fun making this song over the summer, and decided dead winter is the perfect time for you to hear it. ❄️
This is officially the band’s last song with octopus as frontman.
