As CTM 2026 begins, we’re grateful to share the presence of Ukrainian artists who work closely with the
@_standard_deviation and
@theredoesnotexist.club across the festival.
From a moderated talk Ecology as Transmission: Listening with the Land (24.01) by ,
@mariana_berezovskiiiii , to an electro-acoustic improvisation workshop by
@khrystyna_kirik (28.01), to newly commissioned audiovisual performances within Disturbed Ground (31.01), Ukrainian artists are present across formats — discourse, practice, and performance
.
Disturbed Ground, a collaboration by Kyiv’s ∄ and CTM Festival, brings together Ukrainian and international artists to respond to the ecological consequences of war in Ukraine. Newly commissioned works were created by pairing undo despot,
@zeyblade_ ,
@khrystyna_kirik , Mark Bain,
@alen.hast +
@mykyta_rudik , and lighting concept by
@zerodayyy . The project builds on earlier research developed at ∄ under Echoes of the Earth.
Created within that context
@artvartan ’s »Horizons of Disappearance« navigates the tension of the forest as a space of ecological richness and respite, and potential catastrophe due to large-scale anthropogenic factors such as climate change and war.
CTM 2026 also opens with the exhibition Echoes of Tumult at Kunstraum Kreuzberg and daadgalerie, featuring works by nikita.kadan and
@jannkad , among others.
Follow our updates from the festival, go see the artists, join the conversations — and stay tuned for more.
