Master’s thesis defense by Stefan Ralevic April 22nd at 18:30 in front of the Bauhaus Main Building The work approaches the movements and flows within institutions and structures, exploring everydayness and infrastructure as a conceptual diagram that enables practices and new relationalities to develop. Starting from the question of what is missing, artistic and research practices try to frame uncertainty and unknowability through politics of representation, in the format of an everyday practice and radical acts of witnessing. This is a way to engage with a different mode of critique that deals with ruptures and gives them political meaning. From there, the work deals with transience and impermanence as products of friction and contamination within institutions, where different modes of assemblies are contained. This creates a space where the repetition engrained in everyday routine makes its cuts, through which history and power relations can be observed.
