In 2016, I joined @academyofdjs season 2 after finding their Instagram on Christmas Eve, back when they had around 200 followers. This Saturday, we celebrate the ACODJ 10-Year Anniversary Festival🙌 The countless nights behind the decks, @_soulctrl , and the path I walk as a DJ all trace back to that foundation. Grateful to be hosting our own stage for this milestone alongside the ACODJ community. it's been almost 3 years since i've graduated from academy of djs and to say that my life has changed completely because of it would be an understatement :') i'm so entirely grateful for the experience the program has brought me as well as the amazing community i've met because of it <3 (shout out szn 13!!) shortly after graduating, i was blessed with the opportunity to join @_soulctrl , a genre-fluid dj collective whose events i've been attending long before i've even heard of academy of djs!! and you knowww i love my full circle moments so i'm super stoked to announce that i'll be playing at the @_soulctrl stage for @academyofdjs 10 year anniversary festival at the yost on jan 17th!! 🥳 the lineup is so incredibly stacked with talented djs amongst 3 stages of different genres so you're def not gonna wanna miss thissss 😌 tix in my bio~

Then soulctrl comes thru to the studio to have a meeting about their 3 year anniversary and end up going b2b with 6 ppl and I couldn’t help myself and I just watched all these amazing djs blend all these different genres together and that’s when I knew I wanted to be involved/ learn from this collective in any way shape or form 😮‍💨 Fast forward post a couple months, @jilagann asks if I would like to join the soulctrl fam and it was the fastest yes I ever said in my life lmaooo 🫂
