What a year at SoSimpatico. It has been defined by creativity, passion, and celebration - and marked by unforgettable moments. We facilitated Colum McCann's Apeirogon: The Until We Talk Tour, took Dublin Gallery Weekend to new heights, and even landed the Moon in Merrion Square for Science Week. Thank you to everyone who supported us, collaborated with us, and shared in the experience of bringing our ideas to life. Now we’re looking to 2026, with confirmed projects including new work from Colm Mac Con Iomaire, Méav ní Mhaolchatha and Eamonn Doyle, working with Culture Ireland on Ireland’s EU Presidency, delivering landmark cultural spaces with Eagle Street, partnering with Wake The Show, and continuing our support for social initiatives that are making a real difference. #creativeproduction #culturaldevelopment #artistrepresentation #sosimpatico #thankyou

One lioness sings for another. @thejessiebuckley channelled Sinéad O’Connor’s raw power in a haunting version of Troy performed alongside @rteconcertorchestra live at Dun Luiche, Culture Night 2023. Music produced by Aoife Woodlock @_sosimpatico

Had a very short but very wonderful trip to Venice to help @_sosimpatico with the opening party for the Irish entry to the #venicebiennale I'll get some more photos but the party in a naval boat museum in Venice was fairly special.

See you this Thursday 5th February from 6pm for the launch premiere of AS IF by internationally acclaimed photographer Eamonn Doyle, artist-designer Niall Sweeney and composer David Donohoe. Presented in an ambitious installation , the events of AS IF take place simultaneously inside one structure, a structure that folds together the combined forces of an unstable material world and the inner worlds of its inhabitants. AS IF also draws on the processes, dynamics and sounds of its own making—of photography, the temporalities of the still and the moving image, the construction and destruction of sets and maquettes, and the making of, and moving to, music—often translating one through another. PhotoIreland has supported Eamonn Doyle over the years, in amongst other ways, having launched almost all of his publications at @tlp_says from his first photobook ‘i’ (2014), followed by ‘ON’ (2015), ‘End’ (2016), ‘K’ (2018), as well as an eponymous book Eamonn Doyle published by Fundación MAPFRE and Editorial RM (2019), and most recently ‘TWO’ (2022). Through projects such as the postcard collection ‘100 Views of Contemporary Ireland’ and the annual HALFTONE Print Fair, we showcased his latest artworks and have presented his published work internationally in key fairs and exhibitions such as Photobook Phenomenon (@cccb_barcelona , 2017), @unseenphotofair (Amsterdam, 2018), and ‘On the Irish Photobook’ @photobooknz (Wellington, 2024). In 2022, @photoirelandfst ’s ‘Opening the Gates’ presented the most comprehensive overview of the History and Practice of Photography in Ireland to date, including Eamonn’s ambitious video work installation ‘Made in Dublin’. It is with great pleasure that, in 2026, we present his latest body of work, AS IF, developed with Niall Sweeney and David Donohoe, at the recently launched International Centre for the Image.

👩🏻‍🚀 So what do I mean when I say a moon-themed set? This sound was recorded during the Apollo 10 mission. The astronauts described it as “outer space type music.” 🌚 I’ve built it into my live set for Museum of the Moon this Saturday in Merrion Square. Free event. Gates open 5 pm. Sharing the line up with @glasshouse.music and @algorave . Don't miss it! ✨ Artwork: #MuseumOfTheMoon Artist: @lukejerramartist Presented by: @researchireland for #ScienceWeek Produced by: @_sosimpatico Event production: @archetype.ie Closing night curated with @betafest_irl #ElectronicMusic #Apollo10 #SoundDesign #dublinevents

We are super excited to announce a collaboration with @researchireland #ScienceWeek produced by @_sosimpatico inspired by and linking in with the spectacular @lukejerramartist Museum of the Moon which will be on display in Merrion Square next week. The closing night of Science Week’s @museumofthemoon activities is programmed in partnership with Beta Festival and brings together three pioneering artists whose practices bridge sound, science, and technology to explore the boundaries of perception and connection. From live coding and an Algorave to electronic blends. @elainemai @charstiles & @simpsonjurgen will all perform under the moon on the closing night. Together, their performances illuminate how art and technology intertwine to make science felt, transforming algorithms and atmospheres into acts of collective discovery. Check out our events page on 2025.betafestival.ie for more information and for info on @charstiles workshops as part of the programme 💙✨
