As the appointed Project Management SKYnoa helped Balenciaga to expand its flagship in Guangzhou’s Taikoo Hui, doubling its store size to 572 square meters, signaling one of the House’s largest retail presences in China. Raw Architecture concept, featuring distressed concrete columns, exposed technical ceilings, and flooring inspired by urban pavements, while underlit elements, and softly diffused lighting shape a cinematic atmosphere.

SKYnoa’s use of colors is inspired by the chef’s core ingrediencies itself. From golden hue of turmeric, the fiery red of chilies, the bright green of limes, and the deep warmth of roasted coffee, all evolves around natural variety of color. RAMBUs space is not just a backdrop, it’s an active ingredient to their experience, energizing the atmosphere while framing warm, intimate moments. A not so traditional fine dining, but a more relaxed, stylish dining space with premium feel. Its aims to be a lighthouse in the heart of Shanghai - illuminating the boundless intersections of exploration, connection, and shared delight.

In collaboration with the RAMBU team, SKYnoa has shaped a fresh Asian-fusion dining experience on Shanghai Wuding Road. “Rambu” means “lighthouse” in Indonesian, through SKYnoa’s design approach it becomes a beacon that illuminates new pathways to bold and original taste experiences in the city. Drawing on Chef Jun Nishiyama’s vision, SKYnoa transformed conventional restaurant into a playful and immersive dining venue, aiming to create a vibrant space where guests can experience completely new and unique modern Southeast Asian flavors.

SKYnoa x H&M | Seongsu The main entrance, shaped as an ampersand symbol (&), is a play of semiotics, signaling H&M itself but also symbolizing a bold shift towards a more thoughtful approach to design, quality, and production, from YOLO to YONO (You Only Need One). The ground floor, enclosed in translucent frosted glass walls, sparks curiosity as passersby catch glimpses of the merchandise within. Raw concrete stools line the exterior, subtlety extending the space into the street. At the center of the first floor, highway guardrails are reimagined as sculptural display fixtures, along with windshield wiper installation on mirror, referencing Seongsu’s industrial past. A secret outdoor garden featuring a blue car installation pays homage to the district’s automotive heritage. Photos courtesy of H&M

SKYnoa x H&M | Seongsu The sculptural staircase dipped in H&M red acts as an intermission, a theatrical pause between acts. Evoking the ambiance of a theater foyer, it offers a place to linger and corners for photo opportunities, weaving the entire experience into a cohesive narrative. Photos courtesy of H&M

SKYnoa x H&M | Seongsu H&M store design unfolds in three stages: Wardrobe (2F): takes inspiration from the concept of a wardrobe. A calm, subtle walk-in closet feels like interior with display units and a local cultural influence installation, inspired by traditional Korean Hanbok. Organized by categories, it offers an interactive, democratic shopping experience, blending storytelling with the idea of your very own personal wardrobe. Photos Courtesy of H&M

SKYnoa x H&M | Seongsu H&M newly hyper-transformative space that acts as an immersive cultural hub. The design is tailored to Seoul contexts, while conveying H&M’s manifesto “A Stage for one and for all”. SKYnoa drew inspiration from a theater stage, wrapping the upper facade with a mesh that symbolizes the unveiling of a stage curtain and the idea of revealing H&M newest brand space. Once an industrial district, Seongsu has evolved into one of Seoul’s most dynamic cultural and creative hubs, now home to concept stores, galleries, cafés, and international fashion pop-ups. SKYnoa wanted to create a platform for H&M where fashion aspirers can discover, experiment and express their identities in a truly unique and authentic way. Photos courtesy of H&M
