This is Human Form.
Developing the concept, collecting, curating and learning about the gear. Finding and recording the right sounds and grooves. And of course: playing, playing, PLAYING.
I’ve been working on this project for years. The philosophy behind it is simple: The Instrument, consisting of three cases of gear, is a compact studio.
I will improvise, record jams, cut tracks from them, mix it, master it, design some simple artwork and release it on Bandcamp. If I want to perform live I can take The Instrument on stage and hook it up to a PA.
I’m very proud to kickoff this new alter ego with a rehearsed but improvised liveset, which premieres tonight at 20:00 on Youtube, via the amazing @stoorlab / @pinknoisefoundation platform. Feels great to be accompanied by so many awesome electronic artists on there. Thanks for the opportunity.

A week ago I packed some gear to go to France and work on my Human Form project.
The project is basically an exploration of what I consider techno, using a relatively small modular setup as real-time as possible. I want to take this on the road later this year. More soon(ish)!
Last week I received my modded TB303 clone in the mail. Since some people asked how it sounds I decided to make a little video.
So here are some edited bits out of a 10 minute take of some proto acid-techno at 153 BPM, just messing around with the machine figuring out what it can do. I’m just scratching the surface, the range of sounds is a lot wider than showcased here.
The bass-synth is modded by the legend @dern_doelman , who is pretty much the only one doing these mods I believe. I’m super thankful to now have this special box of acidy goodness!

In 2022 Klooiklup asked me to play a set at their stage at the infamous Wildeburg festival. Because they have a pretty strict no house and techno policy at that area I played a set based around hiphop with some d’n’b and an occasional lost Pop, 80’s Rock or whatever track. (I guess we used to call it eclectic but I really don’t like how that sounds somehow)
This year they asked me to play the same stage again and I prepared a bit better. These clips are the result, I can honestly say I can’t remember having this much fun in the booth ever 🤣🥵😆🤬😤
Not planning on doing too many of these, but playing a “Hiphop & Whatever” set tonight at De Bruine Kroeg at Skatecafe for the bday of Spoelboys. Lets have some fun 🫶
