New mix on NTS Supporters Radio airing this Sat. April 19th at 9am Berlin time. Comprised entirely of songs of liberation and solidarity for oppressed peoples of the world and a reminder on this Palestinian Prisoners Day that none of us are free until Palestine is free. Today almost 10,000 Palestinians are brutally held in detention or prison with at least 400 of them being children. Keep boycotting, keep protesting and keep speaking up for the people of Palestine. Glory to the martyrs! Glory to the resistance! ✊🏽🍉
New mix on @nts_radio airing on Sunday April 21st at 11:00 am Berlin time. Sidhartta Talukdar is a Chakma electroacoustic composer and improviser from Treaty 4, Turtle Island. He collects synthesizers, stringed instruments and radios (among other things) to forge sound sculptures in real time with the aid of biofeedback and controlled randomization, resulting in a soundtrack for post-capitalist dreams.

🌳Circular Zone is back next week, Thurs April 23rd, with live performances by Bridget Ferrill (Irish whistle, melodica, electronics) and Elizabeth Davis (electronics), curators of the Power Loom series and poodle parents of Arthur and Wendy 🐩
8€ entry // 8pm doors // 8:30pm start
Bridget Ferrill is a composer, engineer, and synthesizer builder based in Berlin, Germany. By venturing into the realm of extended instruments, handmade electronics and experimental computer music, she explores the interface between noise and composition. Her solo recorded work has been released on Subtext Recordings and ENXPL.
Elizabeth Davis is a musician, artist, and audio engineer whose work uses the interplay of technological limitation, algorithmic processes, and human expression/intervention as subject matter. Her music—under her own name or prior alias Wilted Woman—has been released by labels such as Alien Jams, Psychic Liberation, South of North, and Superpang. She has presented her work at Sonic Acts Biennial (Amsterdam); 3HD Festival, Silent Green, and Transmediale (Berlin); Cafe Oto (London); ZKM (Karlsruhe); Fylkingen (Stockholm); and Triennale (Milano) amongst many other venues, festivals and art spaces across Europe and North America. Davis was born in the United States and lives and works in Berlin, Germany.
🌀Join us next Thurs Feb 26th for another edition of Circular Zone, featuring live performances by Pedro Oliveira (serge, effects) and growthrings (synth, voice, electronics).
8€ entry // 8pm doors // 8:30pm start
Pedro Oliveira is a sound artist and researcher whose work engages with Dub improvisation and a poetic-technical approach to machine intelligence, using the Serge Synthesizer as a site of exploration for experimental computational infrastructures and generative modes of listening.
growthrings is the dark ambient / avant-pop / noise project of Oleksandra Kopelyan, a Berlin-based artist exploring the intersections of sound, memory, and femininity. Influenced by polyphonic singing traditions, she uses fragmented vocal layers alongside psychedelic/horror synths to weave an intricate emotional narrative to be freely interpreted by listeners.
💫 Circular Zone returns next week on Thurs Feb 29th with live performances by Lottie Sebes (sewing machine motors, strings, microphones, talk box) and Nathan Gray (voice and affect).
8€ entry // 8pm doors // 8:30pm start
Berlin-based sound artist and performer Lottie Sebes explores the sonic junction of music and machine. Resisting the sleek fetishism of “high” tech, her performances embrace the clunky aliveness of outmoded mechanisms. By building instruments with parts of old machinery, Sebes’s interfaces become performative tools intertwining body, mouth, voice and machine noise. The physicality of her performances are a laborious and erotic exercise — a dialogue that opens animistic, mechanical, and intensely techno-somatic possibilities.
Nathan Gray works with spoken-word and the voice across radio, sound art and performance. His current live solo sets use only his voice - augmented and estranged through various vocal technologies. His recent radio works have explored a history of voice synthesis and disability, a prehistory of vocal A.I. and language acquisition and development in babies and children as part of his show The Weirding Module on Berlin’s Cashmere Radio. His recent exhibitions have included MHKA, Antwerp; EMST, Athens and The Autostrada Biennale, Kosovo.

📀 Circular Zone is back this Thurs Nov 27th, featuring live performances by Whitehill (guitar, devices, feedback) and super inter (modular sampling).
8€ entry // 8pm doors // 8:30pm start
Guitar mangling noise-troubadour, Whitehill employs the instrument as both sender and receiver of signals-cum-vessel of disturbances, in the conjuring of a pseudo tape music - comprised of oblique strings, meandering melodies, feedback, radio-waves and electronic pulp - buzzing with mischievous voices; in tune with the cosmic microwave background.

super inter is a Ukrainian experimental electronic musician living in Berlin. Working with minimalist and microsound sensibilities, she shapes introspective sonic spaces where time stretches, bends, and drifts. Listening becomes a form of dreaming — porous, nonlinear, quietly radical. Her work has been released on Shimmering Moods, Flaming Pines, systema, and other labels, and extends into radio, theatre, and film. Photo credit: emm sea.

💫 Circular Zone returns next Thurs Oct 30th, featuring live performances by duo Gubbiann + Frank (no-input, circuit bending, DIY oscilators; analog sound samples, electronics, modified resonator) and audiovisual trio Maria Etal.
8€ entry // 8pm doors // 8:30pm start
GubbiAnn (no pronouns), silver-haired gentlepunk and sound-bug lives and creates in an eclectic and intentional dis/comfort zone composed of varied constellations and methods like noise, ambient, drone, improvisation, active listening, DIY oscillators, no-input, circuit bending, but also community tools and designs for living like collective collaboration, intersectional feminism and temporary autonomous zones.

Frank creates a unique soundscape in the transition from noise to music. He has arranged his improv set with hints of melodies, sporadic rhythms, and sound structures formed by a variety of analog sound samples. These are integrated into the digital signals of a no-input mixer. Another element is a modified resonator guitar. Driven by a motor, a coil, and a closed circuit, its strings are set into permanent vibration, generating an endless sustain. This results in a radical transformation of both the sound and the handling of the instrument.

Maria Etal is an audiovisual trio by sound artists Sidhartta Talukdar and Henri Falk, and visual artist Maria SG. They improvise using synthesizers and samplers, informed by Maria’s live video synthesis and voice, creating an evolving soundtrack for hypnagogic dreams.
