It's the last week to catch our show "Hyphen" which is open until April 19th @heavengallerychicago !
Installing our show, we were influenced by clusters, organic groupings, hinged dyads, and the undulation of waves.
During install, I remember experiencing the work like shiny, treasured residual sediment after the tide waxes and wanes.
I'm incredibly proud of the work we put out-not because it is specifically masterful-but because the whole process was an experience of prioritizing care. Personally, the show is a monument, reminding me that honoring your limits and vulnerability are the seeds to experience something beyond yourself. Like grace or the collective.
Honored to be shown beside @speckhero , @diananohstudio , @_seoheui@michellejchun
Special thanks to @prairie.zip <3
Deeply grateful to have you thoughtfully moderate our talk.

Hyphen opened tonight at @heavengallerychicago ! It’s been an honor to work with such talented artists @speckhero , @michellejchun , and @diananohstudio to put this show together. I admire you all and am grateful to have been in conversation about moving in and out of and occupying different spaces at once.
The show is open until April 19. It’s warm and thoughtfully curated and installed. :)
ARTIST SPOTLIGHT | Christine Jung
@_seoheui
“Figure in the Field”
Curated by Jan Dickey @jan.dickey
On view through February 21, 2026
“There’s a ginkgo tree in this sculpture, just out of the frame. Christine Jung’s cracked city stoop rises off the concrete gallery floor, catching the dappled light through the tree and accepting its stinky fallen leaves. Jung is a trompe l’oeil ceramicist. Their work looks like what it is; letting the object, not style, do the talking. The material fact of the stoneware and glaze—a glaze so good, I’m told, only a ceramicist will know how good it is—speaks for itself, carrying the eerie simultaneity of absence and presence.”
- Jan Dickey
Jung’s sensitively sculpted and glazed ginkgo leaves are available to be acquired individually, contact [email protected] or DM us for inquiry.

𝘜𝘯𝘥𝘦𝘳𝘤𝘶𝘳𝘳𝘦𝘯𝘵 w @kiminii__ is up from Nov 7 - Dec 14. I’ll be doing a walkthru or two in Dec so keep an eye out for date announcements in my stories!
@kiminii__ and I r in a show that will be opening this Friday! I’m honored to be showing w Kimin, I believe our works r both in awe of the power of nature whether it’s flora and fauna or the elemental forces.
This body of work has taken over a yr and an immense, painful amount of effort. I’m so grateful to everyone that has supported me in every way imaginable 🫂 if u fed me, held a door open, kept me company, if u drove me, sent me a dehumidifier ! im only able to pray for this curse bc of u. lol
Ty @gallerytutu for believing in the work ♥️
And if anyone wants a walkthru beyond the opening pls reach out :)
Hi y’all, I am making ceramic furniture n u can take one home, potentially!!
My side tables n stools r available primarily thru a bartering system. A list of skills that I am looking for is available in my ig bio but I am also happy to consider different bartering offers. Feel free to dm me w any offers or questions.
This endeavor came out of a desire to explore the value of what we have to offer each other beyond the use of monetary transactions. I hope that it can bring abt greater accessibility of both necessities n luxuries that r out of reach for many of us in a monetary economy, which is widely considered more efficient than a barter economy. But I think unfortunately there is an inefficiency in stagnant wages, predatory pricing of basic human rights, n the resulting difficulty that hard working skilled laborers face in affording to live n enjoy their lives. Bartering my ability to make ceramic furniture is j one thing that I wanted to try to feel more autonomy n power for myself n others who r working w similarly tiny numbers in their bank acct. So if ur someone who’s been wanting a piece of functional art in their home but hasn’t had the income to make that happen, reach out! 💌
Alternatively, if ur interested in purchasing a table or stool, pls dm me for pricing. 🧸
Here is a gif I made to announce a life update, I moved to NYC over the summer n I’ve been a resident @ceramics.boxfactory for the last month 🐾 so lately there have been lots of interesting firsts in life but also in the studio! For example it feels really reassuring that I can be the box factory ceramics studio’s first resident n that they r my first residency. Pls come visit me in the studio I’d love to hang out 💟💟🆗
