Saskia is a fashion journalist, and host of the ‘In Bed With The Face’ social series where she interviewed guests, like Julia Fox and Jorja Smith, from her bed.
Alongside all this she lives with multiple chronic conditions, including POTS, EDS and Mast Cell Activation Syndrome. In this conversation one of the things we kept coming back to is how easy it is for symptoms and syndromes like this to go unseen. From the outside, you wouldn’t necessarily know what someone is carrying day to day - the energy it takes, the adjustments, the constant awareness of your own body.
This was a really open, honest and enlightening conversation about what it actually feels like to live with an invisible illness, and how much of it goes misunderstood...
We’ll be sharing a few moments from this conversation over the next few days, but the full episode is now live on our YouTube for you to watch in full.
Usually, when we wrap an episode of In bed with, we pack up and head home, congratulating ourselves on a job well done. This time, though, after filming with our spring cover star @robynkonichiwa , host @_saskialambert headed to the tattoo studio instead.
@robynkonichiwa is “flabbergasted” on this episode of In the Bed with @_saskialambert .
Worn by the likes of David Beckham and Lenny Kravitz, this fashion faux pas has been keeping our spring cover star up at night.
